SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING AND THE CHALLENGES OF POLICY: EXPERIENCES IN THE PENSAR A PRATICA REVIEW

Abstract

From our experience like Pensar a Prática Review’s editors, the article analyses some challenges of publishing work, talking simultaneously about daily difficulties and the influences of scientific policies on this work. The exclusive adoption of quantitative criteria, the use of bibliometric parameters from foreign index for evaluation of scientiÞ c performances, and the functional dependence progressive of the scientiÞ c communities of these mechanisms, with leniency of many researches, are the main elements point out to understanding this scenario.
