First glance: experience with images in teaching physical education in school

Abstract

This text is an abridged version of a report on research (in a Master’s dissertation) whose chief aim proposes and reflects on the insertion of technical media in the production of images within the scope of physical education in school. Manifestations are observed concerning the dialectic relation between the culture of movement and the discourse undertaken by the mass communication media in the field of physical education. In this research, which was materialized through research-action based on Experiences with Observation Workshop, the media (video and photography) were the elements used to record and produce the research, which orients our reflections on the field of physical education and the media, specifically within the school environment.
