Television and physical education in school: a proposal of intervention
Abstract
This approach refers to the need of school to educate for the audiovisual language, emphasizing a perspective of school physical education that participate of the educational process in and with television, allowing students to watch television transmissions of sports in a critical way. Supported by qualitative research perspective, we developed an intervention in a physical education setting in a class of elementary school, introducing the use of cartoons as an educational strategy. We concluded that there was a meaningful learning process that began with something that children like, and that physical education in school should overcome the common cliché of providing only practice classes.Downloads
