The Brazilian Children and Adolescents Statute: a law instrument for the Physical Education teacher

Abstract

This article has the objective to call attention to the subjects of Physical Education, pointing out to the Children and Adolescents Statute as an instrument for teacher as a complement of the professional practice. The origin of the Statute shows the movement of the assistential and punitive conceptions regarding the Code of 1927, for the current conception of children and adolescents as citizens. The children and adolescents speeches emphasise that the knowledge of law is one of the conditions to promote social justice.
