Abstract
The objectiveof this work is to reflect about the relationship between childhood and social class, pointing out the deals and neoliberal politics regarding the situation of poor children in Brazil. Therefore, due to several social and political problems such as sexual abuse, physical aggression, and prostitution, among others, the text focuses on the exploitation of child work, showing the consequences in the development of subjectivity among these working children. Finally, this paper also to contribute to rethink the concept of childhood in body culture, since in Sport Sciences the implicit concept of childhood is mostly presented as homogeneous, a-critical, abstract and a-historical.
