Abstract

The text leverages the twenty-Þ fth anniversary of Motrivivência to recover aspects of the journal’s historical trajectory in its Sergipe and Santa Catarina phases, highlighting the technical difÞ culties and political resistance to its critical and emancipatory editorial project. It also reflects on the current situation that the scientiÞ c journals are experiencing and its relationship with the academic productivism and the evaluation systems of Brazilian graduation, especially in Area 21 of CAPES.
