Abstract

A look at the present economic, social, cultural and political scenario renders a particular way of development of capitalism, new configurations in the cultural sphere and even geopolitical transformations. The working world is specially altered in the sinus of this social structure in which neoliberalism becomes the dominant trend. This social structure, epistemically based on modernity, has assigned a particular role to the human body and to work on both the individual body and populations. In the following essay this issue of the body is approached within a late capitalism context, into which some of the modern basic principles have submerged themselves.
