The model of triple helix and the role of physical education, sport and leisure in local development
Abstract
This study formulates a proposal for education for civic entrepreneurship in which university, enterprise and government work together, taking physical activity in the full diversity of its manifestations as a basic factor of social development. The triple helix model is employed as a tool for studying the relationships between the three above - mentioned actors in the domain of local development and with an emphasis on social responsibility. We conclude with the suggestion that universities widen their programs, incorporating new arenas of activity and broadening their goals in relation to enterprise and government.Downloads
