Abstract

Miguilim, by Guimarães Rosa, invites you to think about childhood and its games. From the point of view of an 8 year old boy, it presents a world in which the experiences of a difficult life in poverty, with many pains and few joys and in the middle of so diverse men ad women, unveil. Amid it all, the playing, both of them a way of absorbing the world, and the dangerous life: animals, trees, rivers, pebbles, songs, fireflies... playing with almost nothing, with almost everything. It is a book that helps you think about the educational actions in the many places filled with so many other miguilins scattered around streets, playgrounds and schools. And it also promotes the discussion about the presence of the school, and, inside it, of the Physical Education, in the childhood.
