Abstract
The purpose of this text is to describe and reflect upon an experience situated at the level of higher education, and specifically, within the course on Dance in Education
that is part of the Teaching Degree Program in Physical Education at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. It focuses on processes of teaching and learning in
dance flowing from an experience in choreographic composition. Starting from a phenomenological point of view, the text describes lived experiences in a pedagogical
environment of teaching dance and training teachers; these experiences are seen as significant moments for reflections on knowledge about dance and about the pedagogical
knowledge necessary for its teaching.
