Abstract
This article looks at some aspects of the historical and cultural dynamics of Circus Arts, giving particular attention to some of the factors that have stimulated their encounter with School Physical Education. Our arguments see circus activities as an important part of body culture and advocate their inclusion in school physical education curriculum. In order to illustrate the didactic and pedagogical process that we are doing research on and attempting to apply, we have described a variety of activities related to juggling that make up a block of eight classes for first and/or second grade students (primary school). We aim to contribute to the elaboration of a pedagogy of circus art activities and in this regard modify the current hegemony of oral transmission, which at present continues to be the major form of dissemination of this specific knowledge.
