Abstract

The aim of this paper was to reflect about the teaching in higher education, with the reference the Physical Education (PE). This is one descriptive research , which is based on hermeneutic orientation. The collaborators were constitutive by professors in PE from UFSC and UNOCHAPECÓ. Were performed semi-structured interviews with the collaborators, for amplify the understanding about the proposed topic. At the end, one referential hermeneutic allow resize the teaching profession, which may imply a shift in the understanding axiological, teleological and epistemological pedagogical practices in this area, as well as a redefinition of epistemological activity present in the initial formation of PE
